Had the absolute pleasure of decorating Emma’s 40th birthday yesterday at Gilberts Bar Willenhall, which included me almost having a heart attack, due to thinking id set up at the wrong venue
Started to set up at 12:00 on the dot, and i thought Emma was coming to set up some table clothes etc at 12:00 also. Around 1pm the manager at Gilberts asked if someone was coming to set up anything else up, which prompted me to say, yes i thought Emma would of been there already.
Anyway unbeknownst to me, the manager had contacted Emma’s mom who had booked the venue to ask what time they were coming. Who then contacted Emma, and in the chain of information relay, the communication got confused, to which Emma messaged me to ask what time i was gong to set up, because the venue had apparently contacted them to ask what time i was setting up.
The time was now 2pm and i had literally just finished setting up, and im standing there confused thinking, omg am i in the wrong venue. Which prompted a panicked 3 minutes of me trying to phone Emma to triple confirm the venue, thinking there was a manger at another venue waiting for me to start.
I was almost convinced i was at the wrong venue, so much so i had Emma on the phone asking what the address of the venue was, and the manager of the venue confiriming that the address was correct. Turns out, i was at the correct venue, but i did almost die of fright. lol.
Can u imagine setting up a 2hr shimmer wall display, sweet cart, welcome sign and all that comes with it, and being at the wrong venue.. OMG i would die. lol
Any way, all was good, and Emma got her 40th party decor in Hawaii themed colours. And doesn’t it look good.
