Been a few months since I’ve had an event to do at The Mount Hotel in Tettenhall. Today saw me doing a classic half arch balloon display and no.18 lights for Helen’s sons birthday.
I also supplied 12×5 sets of helium balloon clusters for the tables and the reception area. You would not believe the hassle I had trying to source the correct colour balloons for this job.
Qualatex one of the biggest balloon companies in the world, went in to administration last year and so it’s almost impossible to get specific colour balloons. Which were pearl midnight blue, after trying several avenues, I managed to order some, only for them to not turn up a week later.
Frantically searched for another balloon brand with similar colour blue, which was Tuftex midnight blue. But none in stock anywhere. We had to settle for a Sempertex Reflex Blue, but as it happens, it turned out for the best. Because it suited the colour scheme of the room well and lightened up the balloons themselves.
So although I try to get exactly what you ask for, sometimes it’s a blessing in disguise when I just can’t do it.
