First ever Rokha party for me, id never heard the term until Simran contacted me enquiring about hiring a few centrepieces for her party at The Builders Arms in Wolverhampton.
Rokha apparently means to “stop”. In the sense that both sets of parents have stopped looking for a suitor for their child and have found one. And the Rokha party is a celebration of this event. I believe it’s a bit like an engagement party that white people have, but without the sausage rolls and the drunken fights.
Well I was happy to supply a welcome sign for Kishan & Simran’s Rokha party as well as 6x table centrepieces.
When I took the booking, I did think the colours would clash as Simran went with 3x wild flower balls and gold frames, and 3x white & ivory flower balls with white vases. But it actually contrasted well and looked really nice in the room.
If you are having a Rokha party in and around Wolverhampton or surrounding areas, get in touch today and let me know what I can do for you.
